Thank you to everyone who supported the 2005 Lancaster Village Special Events Series. The 2006 dates are posted below and more information will be available soon.


The primary purpose of the Lancaster Village Special Events Series is to enhance the already high quality of life in the Lancaster community. The variety of programming has been created to appeal to the different interests of the many people who make up our diverse populace.

The award winning Central Avenue Streetscape was designed with the idea of "community" at its core. It was intended to create a gathering place, a vital village center, a heart of the community. With wider sidewalks and new seating areas, the innovative design services both foot and vehicle traffic with both utility and the charm of an old-time walking village

The Streetscape and the Special Events Series together will bring more life to the central business district. This will help the already established businesses that serve as the district's foundation, and will attract new businesses to truly make the Central Avenue corridor the heart of the community.


The Special Events Series is committed to offering events that also provide opportunities for the businesses of Lancaster to showcase themselves at a time where there is a greater audience walking and enjoying the village streets. Businesses may enjoy greater exposure through sponsorship of individual events or the whole series, through sidewalk sales or special event day promotions, or simply by being open on the event days.
